Tasty Hot Pot
Tasty Hot Pot opened at 11:30 a.m. March 19 at 215 3rd St. N,W., the former MT Pints, in front of the Staybridge Suites.
Protecting the Big Sky tour
The Commissioner of Securities and Insurance is hosting investor protection events across western Montana this March, including March 20 in Great Falls.
The events are part of the Protecting the Big Sky tour—a series of educational presentations to inform adults and seniors about common investment scams, and how to detect and prevent financial exploitation.
In 2023, consumers reported losing more than $4.6 billion to investment scams nationwide, according to the Federal Trade Commission. Last year, investment scams were the most reported scams in the U.S.
The event in Great Falls is 10-11 a.m. March 20 at the Paddock Club at Montana Expo Park.

Missouri River Barbershop is now open at 1125 2nd Ave. N., No. 4.
Wendy’s
We heard another rumor going around, this time about a new Wendy’s location, so we checked with the franchise in Montana.
Their spokeswoman told The Electric, “as far as a second Wendy’s coming to Great Falls, we are still optimistic that something will fall into place in the future but are still working on it.”
The franchise in Montana, Wentana, is still in litigation over a location in West Bank.

Malmstrom contract
The 341st Contracting Squadron awarded a $81,775 contract to to NorthCon, Inc. of Idaho to repair the roof at Missile Alert Facility M-01.
The period of performance for this award is 20 calendar days.
Unless otherwise stated, the bidding for this contract was open to all contractors and the contract was awarded based on performance-price trade-off to provide the best value to the government.
Montana Credit Union opening new location; Anderson Pharmacy merges with Billings company
Community Early Education Center
The Community Early Education Center is close to a permit to move into the city’s current Community Recreation Center at 801 2nd Ave. N., that the city will be vacating once the new aquatics center opens in Lions Park.
Dispensary
The city is reviewing a permit application for a new dispensary at 301 Huffman Ave.
Honey Hippo

Former Eddie’s Supper Club
The city issued a demolition permit to Trohn LLC n November 2023 for the former Eddie’s Supper Club at 3725 2nd Ave. N. to remove ceiling tiles, take out the existing bar and remove sheetrock.
In February, the city issued a permit for the interior remodel of the existing restaurant and casino into a large casino and storage space. The existing kitchen will remain, according to city documents.
The owner listed on the demolition permit is Trohn LLC, which operates Emerald City Casinos and Taco Treats in town.
Former Best Wok
The city is reviewing a rezone request for the former Best Wok at 1525 3rd St. N.W. from M-2 to C-2 to establish a casino.
Town Pump is requesting the rezone with plans for a lounge, casino and off premises liquor sales, which aren’t allowed under the current zoning.
Full Circle Health and Wellness
Full Circle Health and Wellness has moved and opened in their new location at 202 2nd Ave. S., Suite 103, next to Magpie.
Al Banco
Al Banco has their new kitchen/roasting space operational and is rolling our their first new food menu this week at their Commons location. The menu includes a hot, flat pressed ham and cheese, and a hot, flat pressed sweet/savory goat cheese and hot honey, both on our house focaccia. They’ll also have an assortment of cookies.

Disc golf tournament
The Electric City Disc Golf Club is hosting the first tournament at the SilverThorn disc golf course at Wadsworth Pond.
The SilverThorn Open is sanctioned through the Professional Disc Golf Association and will be April 27-28 with one layout the first day and another on the second day with a few event-only holes, making it 25 holes per round.
