GFPS groundbreaking for new elementary is May 10

Great Falls Public Schools has demolished Longfellow Elementary and the site is being prepared for construction of a new school as part of the $98.8 million facility levy.
GFPS is holding a groundbreaking at 4 p.m. May 10 at 1101 6th Ave. S. and the public is invited.
Three candidates file for three GFPS board seats; no election in May
This will be the second new elementary school included in the levy.
The event will include remarks from Superintendent Tammy Lacey, architectural firm LPW, Sletten Construction and a blessing of the site from Native American leaders in the community, according to GFPS.
Commerative bricks are available at the District Office for alumi who wish to have a piece of history from the old Longfellow building.
