GFPS to forgo levy this year
The Great Falls Public Schools board of trustees voted 6-1 on Monday to forgo a levy this year.
The district is projecting a shortfall this year and the budget committee met with administrators to discuss various levy types, potential cuts or combinations of both.
Last week, the GFPS budget committee voted 3-0 to recommend to the full board that the district not ask voters for a levy this year, but indicated that the district would pursue a levy next year.
