Commission to consider new lease of city-owned property

The City Commission will consider during Tuesday’s meeting a new lease for 316 acres of city-owned property about 3.5 miles north of the Manchester exit for three years. Staff is recommending approval of the lease and leasing city property requires a four-fifths affirmative vote by the commission. The city has owned the land since 1991 as a potential landfill site.

Staff is recommending that the City Commission approve a $462,000 contract with Detailed Construction for the cattery addition at the Great Falls Animal Shelter. Calumet: Normal operations resumed; fire result of cold weather

Calumet Montana Refining has resumed full refinery operations following a fire on March 7. “All units have now been repaired and restarted.
