MDT seeking comment on proposed Stuckey Road project
The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking comments on a proposal to pave about 0.4 miles of Stuckey Road in Great Falls.
The project begins on Stuckey Road at the intersection with Northwest Bypass at reference post 0.00 and extends north for 0.42 miles.
Proposed work includes raising the existing grade to place new gravel base and asphalt pavement, seal and cover (chip seal), pavement markings, and signage.
The purpose of the project is to reduce airborne dust and provide a more durable surface for the commercial traffic concentrated on this stretch of road.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2022, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
The need for new right-of-way and utility relocations will be determined as the project progresses.
