County Commission considers funding for Expo Park grandstands, budget adjustments, storage unit project

During Tuesday morning’s Cascade County Commission meeting, commissioners will consider allocating $40,000 for betting windows in alternative structures since the area under the grandstands at Montana Expo Park has been deemed unsafe. U.S. Supreme Court declines case related to contract for housing at Malmstrom AFB

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to consider an appeal from Garco Construction Inc. over a 2006 contract for housing construction at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The company hired a subcontractor, James Talcott Construction, and the subcontractor began having workers denied access due to criminal records. City Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday

The City’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back again this year, thanks to Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz of Steel Etc. Glendive judge to hear case against Cascade County over zoning board appointment

Judge Olivia Rieger has agreed to hear the civil case filed against Cascade County and the County Commission over zoning board appointments. Her acceptance was official with the Great Falls court on March 22. Wheat Ridge development goes to Great Falls planning board this week

The city planning board will consider Tuesday the annexation of 20.98 acres for the proposed Wheat Ridge Estates behind the Wal-Mart on 10th Avenue South. NorthWestern Energy releases price for wind power in agreement with Allete

NorthWestern Energy has entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of Allete Clean Energy to purchase the energy from an 80-megawatt qualifying facility wind farm to be developed in south-central Montana. After negotiations between the developer and NorthWestern Energy, the price to be paid for this power is $21.03 per megawatt hour plus an annual estimate of $1.58 per MWh

Construction has started on what will be a three-story office building on a 1.12 acre parcel near Broadwater Bay and Mackenzie River Pizza. MDT seeking comments for highway project near Fort Shaw

The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking public comments on a proposal to enhance safety features on Montana Highway 200 at the curve one mile southwest of Fort Shaw at about reference point 132.5.
