Planned power outage in part of Great Falls planned for Sept. 16
A planned power outage that will affect some NorthWestern Energy customers in portions of central Great Falls will take place from midnight to 5 a.m. Sept. 16.
The planned power outage will affect some customers in the area generally north of 10th Avenue South to 3rd Avenue South and west of 16th Street South to 3rd Street South.
Customers affected by the outage will receive an automated phone notification before the planned outage.
Crews will replace substation equipment that is nearing the end of its useful life. The work is necessary to maintain reliable electric service for customers, according to NorthWestern.
