County Commission approves jail kitchen project
Cascade County Commissioners approved a $122,222 contract to Copper Creek Construction during their July 14 meeting for the kitchen grease interceptor project at the Cascade County Adult Detention Center.
County officials have determined the existing great interceptor in the jail kitchen is no longer adequate.
Over the last year, it has needed “significantly more frequent pumping, indicating it is operating beyond its intended capacity and design limitations; the existing steel interceptor is also rusted out and beginning to leak,” according to the staff report from the county public works department.
