Great Falls man sentenced on federal meth trafficking charge
Cody Allen Davidson, 39, was sentenced in federal court on June 24 to 12 years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release after being found with meth in his car and home, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Davidson pleaded guilty in April 2026 to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Federal prosecutors argued that Davidson and his partner, Diane Walters, had been trafficking methamphetamine and that searches of Davidson’s home and car turned up bundles of meth, cash and firearms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A source notified the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in May 2025 that Davidson had recently received a resupply of meth that was stored in his Great Falls residence. With that information, law enforcement obtained a warrant and searched Davidson’s home.

Davidson was home when officers arrived and agreed to show them “everything,” opening up a gun safe that held about 30 pounds of meth, four guns and $21,479 in cash, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Davidson told investigators the cash was from selling about seven pounds of meth and that he’d been trafficking it for the last six to eight months.
Two months later, on July 10, 2025, Davidson’s car was spotted traveling north of Las Vegas.

Law enforcement suspected he was on a drug resupply run and put out an alert for the vehicle. The next day, officers in Idaho Falls, Idaho, spotted the car and pulled it over. Walters was driving and Davidson was the passenger in a vehicle where officers found about 25 pounds of meth.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeff Starnes prosecuted the case.
The DEA and Great Falls Police Department conducted the investigation.
