Water Tower Pool opening June 18; Jaycee Pool still closed
Water Tower Pool was set to open at 1 p.m. June 18.
Then came the rain and all outdoor pools were closed.
It will open June 19 and be open daily from 1-5:45 p.m., weather dependent.
Jaycee Pool is still closed as the city is working to repair the liner.
The splash pads at both neighborhood pools are open and there’s no cost to use the splash pads when the pools are closed.
Neighborhood pools opening delayed
The neighborhood pool fees are $4 for ages 3-17 and $6 for 18 and older.
Jessica Compton, deputy Great Falls Park and Recreation director, told The Electric earlier this week that staff has been working on the pools, but have more repairs to make before they can safely open to the public.
She said the prior repair to Jaycee Pool’s liner didn’t hold up as anticipated, so it’s currently being repaired. She said on June 18 that staff was waiting on a quote for repairs.

Compton said this year, they’re fully staffed with lifeguards for all the outdoor pools once the repairs are completed.
During the June 8 Park and Recreation Advisory Board meeting, Compton told the board that the city has old facilities that need a lot of maintenance and the city “can’t just keep putting Band-Aids on it.”
City pools open June 6, Flow Rider remains down this summer
Electric City Water Park opened June 6, without the Flow Rider and Lazy River, and the big slide was back up and running as of June 11.
The splash pad at the water park is operational this summer. In 2024, the city converted the old baby pool, which had a number of issues into the splash pad.
