Cascade County primary election preliminary results
Preliminary results in the Cascade County primary are in.
As of about 12:45 a.m., 15,280 ballots have been counted.
Results are not final until the canvas, which is typically conducted within two weeks of the election.
Terry Thompson, county elections administrator, told The Electric that of the 36,039 ballots issued, 16,860 had been accepted as of 9:30 p.m. June 2, for a 47 percent turnout.
She said elections staff were still processing and counting ballots returned at the county polls, and those returned in person at Expo Park on Tuesday.
According to county data, 738 ballots were undeliverable, which is down significantly from recent elections, Thompson said.
So far, 287 ballots were rejected, which could be an issue with the signature or birth year on the envelope and voters have until 5 p.m. June 3 to correct those issues.
Preliminary results for statewide offices and precinct committees are available here.
