City seeking applicants for advisory boards
The city is seeking applicants for multiple advisory boards.
All applicants must be city residents and qualified electors to apply.

The Historic Preservation Advisory Commission consists of nine members serving three-year terms: four are appointed by the City Commission, four are appointed by the County Commission, and a ninth member with professional architectural expertise is chosen by a simple majority of the other eight members.
The city is seeking applicants for two terms that expire at the end of April to serve three-year terms through April 30, 2029.
HPAC advises Cascade County, the City of Great Falls and the downtown Business Improvement District.
Applicants should have expertise/qualifications in the following areas: history, planning, archaeology, architecture, architectural history, historic archaeology, or other history preservation-related disciplines such as cultural geography or cultural anthropology.
Ownership of property listed on the National Register of Historic Places may also qualify a person to serve on this commission.
Meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month at noon.

The following boards have vacancies and applications are due by 5 p.m. May 8.
The Great Falls Housing Authority Board is responsible for setting policy for the operation and management of public housing properties, HUD-Section 8 programs, and other affordable housing programs.
The board consists of two tenant members and five non-tenant members.
Applications are being accepted for the two tenant positions with terms through June 30, 2028.
Applicants must be a resident of the Housing Authority properties, living on the main site, Austin Hall, Sunrise Courts, Yeoman Tynes, Russell, Sand Hills, Holland Court Apartments or be a tenant participating in the GFHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
There is also a five-year non-resident position.
Applicants for this vacancy should have expertise in the areas of law, architecture, real estate, engineering, finance, clergy or social work.

The Great Falls Public Library Board consists of five members who advise, recommend and advocate for the library in the city of Great Falls and within Cascade County.
The board supports the work of the library and provides leadership to the library director as well as leadership to the community regarding library services and resources.
Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

The Audit Committee provides assurance that financial disclosures made by management reasonably portray the city’s financial condition, results of operations and plans and long-term commitments.
Experience or interest in financial information is helpful.
