He’s been charged with felony assault with a weapon, felony criminal endangerment and misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, fleeing from or eluding a peace officer and third offense driving under the influence.

At the scene, officers spoke to Guerrero’s wife and learned that he was not at the residence but in the area of 316 McIver Road.

Another Great Falls Police Department officer saw Guerrero’s truck around the 1500 block of Central Avenue West travelling east and met up with another officer to follow him and attempted a traffic stop using lights and sirens on the 1st Avenue North bridge.

Guerrero failed to stop and a pursuit ensued with his speed increasing to more than 10 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, according to charging documents.

He was eventually taken into custody by force and officers observed that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol with multiple cans of beer and a bottle of vodka in his truck.

In an interview with investigators, Guerrero’s wife said that he arrived at her residence and was acting “weird” and “drunk” so she put their 4-year-old daughter in an upstairs bedroom. He left and came back so she went upstairs with the girl, but heard him open the gun safe in the basement and when she came downstairs, she saw Guerrero holding the gun to his chest and filming himself with his cellphone.

She told investigators that he was waving the gun around the room and ran upstairs to collect their daughter since her room was directly above. She went to the car in the driveway in an attempt to leave, but Guerrero chased her so she  took the girl to a family member’s house then returned to speak with officers.

Guerrero is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Sept. 8.
