Kaylee LaClair, Great Falls Theatre Company: Out and About

Kaylee LeClair is the board vice president and production manager for the Great Falls Theatre Company.

They’re going into their third season and put on fantastic community theater shows.

She’s also one of the nicest people I’ve met in Great Falls.

Here’s her musings on what to do in and around town.

A Saturday morning/afternoon in Great Falls

– Brunch at The Station District

– Walk down Central and make stops at some of our favorite places – Pizazz, Let’s Play, GRAE + Co, Dragonfly  Dry Goods, Cassiopeia Books and The Collective

– Grab an afternoon beer at the Mighty Mo!

An evening with a show

– Dinner at Enbar with a cocktail or two!

– Ice cream at Big Dipper for desert

– Head to the Newberry or a Great Falls Theatre Company show!

We always take people when they visit for the first time to

Giant Springs State Park

– Black Eagle Dam & Island

– Enbar/Block/Mighty Mo

– The Station (new on our rotation but one we love with the patio!)

Magpie (especially during patio season!)

Tracy’s for a early breakfast on the day they head out

Top Walks (My mom and I are avid walk takers in the summer!)

– Caboose to Giant Springs State Park loop

– Black Eagle Dam/Historic Bridge (start at parking lot of Northwestern Energy and walk down to island and back then across historic bridge)

– Westbank park loop (across Central Avenue Bridge and then back across the historic 10th bridge)

– Gibson Park loop

– Explore the neighborhood we live in!

Some great art activities during the year for adults are:

Drop in Adult Dance Classes at Miss Linda’s School of Dance

Art Classes at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art

Attend local theatre productions – Great Falls High, CMR, Miss Linda’s Act 1 Theatre Company, The Mansfield, Act Normal Dinner Theatre, and the Great Falls Theatre Company

Audition for a GFTC show!

Author’s note: I do find most of my activities that I drag Canyon to on Facebook! Facebook events are such a gold mine for unique and fun events happening around town – I sometimes will just scroll through to see what is going on in the next few weeks.
