This year’s Great Walls muralists will be live painting on canvases during the artist reception from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 14 in the alley behind the Times Square building, which is accessible from 1st Avenue North, across from Littles Lanes.

The event is free and open to the public.

It’s a chance to see their work so far as they install eight new murals as part of the annual festival curated by Cameron Moberg and organized by the downtown Business Improvement District.

Members of the public can meet the artists, take in the murals and enjoy light snacks and drinks.

The canvases they create during the event will be auctioned off to raise funds for next year’s festival.
