Neighborhood council meetings Jan. 13-16

Three neighborhood councils meet next week.

Neighborhood Council 7 meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Civic Center Gibson Room.

Agenda items include Great Falls Police Department update by Chief Jeff Newton, committee reports and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 1 meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Meadowlark Elementary School library.

Agenda items include council officer elections and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 8 meets at 6 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Great Falls Transition Center Women’s Annex.

Agenda items include 1st and 2nd Avenue North parking issues with the Montana Department of Transportation, Great Falls public works and planning departments; Facebook updates and neighborhood concerns.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
