Cederion McLaurin was sentenced to 100 years in prison on Oct. 3 for sexually abusing a 22-month old in December 2022.

He was sentenced to 100 years in Montana State Prison and will not be eligible for parole for 80 years. He’ll get 667 days credit toward his sentence for time service. He’ll also have to register as a tier two sex offender, according to Cascade County Attorney Josh Racki.

McLaurin was charged in December 2022 with a felony count of sexual intercourse without consent after medical staff at Benefis Health System reported concerns for a 22-month-old female who had anal tearing and an unusually dilated rectum, according to court documents.

Medical staff made multiple reports to law enforcement about the child.

When a Great Falls Police detective arrived at the hospital, he spoke to medical staff about the girl’s condition, which they attributed to trauma.

The detective also spoke to the girl’s mother who lived with McLaurin, her partner then of two years, and her two children.

The mother reported that she noticed the girl’s condition a few days prior and that she had left the girl home alone with McLaurin.

Asked by the detective if she had concerns about McLaurin, the mother said “sometimes” and that he watched porn involving young children, according to court documents.

The mother told the detective in December 2022 that McLaurin often requested that the young girl be left with him while she took the other child out, according to court documents.

The mother told the detective that she believed McLaurin had anal sex with the child and in an interview with the detective, McLaurin admitted to the act and causing the girl’s injuries, according to court documents.
