City considering Carter Park sidewalk project
During their June 18 meeting, City Commissioners will consider a $838,150 contract for a sidewalk project.
Staff is recommending approval of the contract to United Materials for sidewalks around Carter Park.
The project area was prioritized due to the above average pedestrian demand of the neighborhood park, according to city staff, and through the infrastructure scoring process outlined in the city’s Public Right of Way ADA Transition Plan.
If approved, the project will install curb ramps and an alley apron along three sides of the park, along 6th Avenue South from 3rd Street South to 4th Street South, along 4th Street South from 6th Street South to 7th Street South, and along 7th Avenue South from 4th Street South to 3rd Street South.
