Electric City Water Park, neighborhood splash pads open June 7; neighborhood pools open June 17

The Electric City Water Park opens June 7 for the season.

Neighborhood splash pads also open June 7.

Both the water park and neighborhood splash pads will be open through Aug. 25.

The water park will be open daily from noon to 6 p.m.

Entrance fees are $7 for youth ages three to 17; $10 for adults 18 and older; $5 for non-swimmers.

Concessions are available and proper swim attire is required, according to Great Falls Park and Recreation.

Passes are also available.

A 10-visit pass is $60 for youth and $85 for adults. A 30-visit pass is $200 for youth and $285 for adults.

Daily lap swim is 9-11 a.m. The cost is $4 per day or $40 monthly.

Pool rental is available 6:30-8:30 p.m. nightly. The facility provides lifeguards, tubes and life jackets.

City approves new recreation fees, including fees for new aquatics facility

The fee to rent the entire facility is $875 for 1-499 people and $600 to rent Mitchell Pool and the water slides, with a max of 500 people.

Park and Rec is offering a junior lifeguard certification program for ages 11-14 for $70.

Two sessions are being held, the first is June 17-20 and the second is July 15-18.

Both are 9-10:45 a.m.

The program includes CPR, first aid training, completing six three hour shifts, a t-shirt, day pass and a certificate of completion.

Earlier this year, City Commissioners approved a contract for demolition of the baby pool at the water park. It’s being replaced with a splash pad that staff hopes will be installed by the end the summer pool season.

Jaycee Pool is located at 4th Street and 23rd Avenue Northeast.

Water Tower Pool is 34th Street and 7th Avenue South.

The neighborhood pools are open 1-5:45 p.m. daily.

The entry fee for neighborhood pools is $4 for youth ages 3-17 and $6 for adults 18 and older.

A 10-visit pass is $34 for youth and $51 for adults.

Neighborhood pools can be rented nightly from 6-8 p.m. for parties or group swims. Lifeguards are provided.
