First People Buffalo Jump celebrating 25th anniversary of visitor center with summer talks
First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park near Ulm is celebrating the 25-year anniversary of the opening of its visitor center with activities in the park this summer.
A weekly “Jump Talk” will be held at the top of the buffalo jump every Sunday from May 26 to Sept. 1.
The talks will begin at 1 p.m. and last about 30 minutes.
The free talks will discuss the park and the sacred sites found within it and focus upon how the First Peoples drove bison over the cliff edge.
Talks may be cancelled in the event of poor weather.

- June 8: Snake Hike
- June 10: Bear Aware Program
- July 13 -14: Kite Festival
- August 10-11: Mammoth Hunt
- September: Park Star Party

First Peoples Buffalo Jump Park is located 3.5 miles north of Ulm, just off I-15 at exit 270.
Montana residents are entitled to free daily entrance to all state parks through payment of vehicle registration fees.
Non-resident vehicles are required to purchase a park pass for entry to the park.
