Give Great Falls underway
Give Great Falls is underway.
This year’s event runs through May 3 and there are more than 50 participating local nonprofits.
It’s an annual event organized by the nonprofit alliance of the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Area Community Foundation and the United Way of Cascade County.
“Our goal is to encourage philanthropic giving, community engagement, and strengthen collaborative impact for the benefit of the Great Falls area,” according to the organizers. “We can celebrate together as a community online or in-person! Many local nonprofits are on the front lines to support our community in response to COVID-19 and many others have had to cancel important fundraising events. Each donation matters – whether it’s $10 or $50.”
As of 5 p.m. April 30, the event had raised $16,613 from 177 donors for 37 organizations.
“Give Great Falls is a great opportunity for local nonprofits of all sizes to engage with our community. For United Way, Give Great Falls is another way we can support our nonprofit partners on our community. It’s exciting to see Give Great Falls grow year after year,” said Gary Owen, United Way president.
This is the fifth year of the event and in that time, locals nonprofits have raised more than $275,000, according to organizers.
In 2023, the event raised $73,332.
In 2022, it raised $68,427.
In 2021, the event raised more than $81,000 for local nonprofits.
