Mountainfilm tour coming to Great Falls March 15
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation is bringing their annual film festival to five different cities around the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, including Great Falls on March 15.
Mountainfilm on Tour features a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colo.
The tour will visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center on March 15 at 6 p.m. with films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world, according to a BMWF release.
The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation has been hosting Mountainfilm on Tour since 2007 as a fundraiser for their stewardship projects in the 1.6-million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex.
Each summer, BMWF hosts more than 40 volunteer adventure trips that open trails and restore habitat while providing unique, low-cost opportunities for people to experience one of the most remote wilderness areas in the lower 48, according to a BMWF release.
“While the films don’t take place in the Bob, they all relate to our mission of connecting people with wild places,” Allison Siems, BMWF operations director, said in a release. “These films demonstrate how spending time and building community in the outdoors can truly change lives – something we’re lucky enough to witness every summer through our volunteers and internships.”
Tickets for the Great Falls show are on sale now here.
Tickets will also be available the day of the event at the door.
