CCSO, Crime Stoppers offering $10K reward for information into 2022 homicide
The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the 2022 death of Mike Evans.
Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said that Evans was killed at the old Bar S east of the city sometime between Feb. 13-Feb. 14, 2022.
Detectives have worked the case for two years and have persons of interest, Slaughter said.
“We know that these individuals are in our community and we know they know the details of Mike’s death,” Slaughter said. “It is time to crime forward with this information, it is time to stop protecting these suspects.”
In 2022, CCSO said that deputies had responded at 5:20 p.m. Feb. 14 to 8535 U.S. Highway 89 for a report of a deceased male.
CCSO identified the deceased as Michael Leelan Evans, 40, of Great Falls.
An autopsy was conducted at the Montana State Crime Lab and the death was ruled a homicide.
Anyone with information about the Evans homicide is asked to contact the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 406-454-8099, the front desk at 406-454-6820 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 406-727-8477.
