City election results: Houck, Tryon win

Polls closed at 8 p.m. and in the unofficial results, Tracy Houck and Rick Tryon are the top two vote getters for the two available City Commission seats.
About 28,000 ballots were mailed to eligible registered voters, but city residents were able to register up until 8 p.m. today. The total number of votes processed as of 9:24 p.m. was 12,616.
The commission race results in the unofficial counts are:
Tracy Houck (incumbent): 4,830
Bruce Pollington: 4,140
Kim Rodriguez: 2,596
Jasmine Taylor: 2,297
Terry Thompson: 3,453
Rick Tryon: 5,047
Mayor Bob Kelly ran unopposed and so far as 11,062 votes.
Municipal Court Judge Steve Bolstad ran unopposed and so far has 11,066 votes.
Commissioner Bill Bronson did not seek another term.
The election results won’t be official for about two more weeks when county officials canvas and certify the results.
All 45 seats on the city’s nine neighborhood councils were also on this ballot.
