Cascade County Commissioner voted during a special meeting on Oct. 31 to approve a $221,510 contract with Motor Power of Great Falls for two 2021 Kenworth T800 semi trailer trucks for the public works department.

The county published bids in September and October in the paper and on the county website and received three bids by the Oct. 11 deadline.

Motor Power met the bid specifications and provided the lowest bid, according to county public works. The Motor Power cost per truck is $110,755, according to the county.

Tri-State Truck and Equipment of Great Falls and Montana Peterbilt of Missoula also submitted bids.

County staff said the trucks are expected to be delivered in February.
