AAUW used book sale starts this week
The Great Falls Branch of the American Association of University Women annual book sale kicks off at the Great Falls Public Library this week.
It’s the 61st annual sale and proceeds are used for scholarships for Cascade County women, grants to libraries and the Great Falls Education Foundation.
The Great Falls branch of AAUW was established in 1914 and since 1959, the book sale has provided funds to support local AAUW projects, including college scholarships for women and library donations.
The sale is on the third floor of the library and includes books, games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, childrens books and audio books.
This year’s sale schedule is:
Early Bird: Oct. 16, noon to 7 p.m., $2 per book and a $2 charge at checkout.
Oct. 17: noon to 7 p.m. $2 per book
Oct. 18: noon to 5 p.m. $2 per book
Oct. 19: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., $2 per book
Auction ends Oct. 19. The auction catalog and bid sheets are available here.
Half price sale days are Oct. 23-24 from noon to 7 p.m. and Oct. 25 noon to 5 p.m. for $1 per book.
The sack sale is Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for $4 per sack or $8 per box.
