Malmstrom open house this weekend, F-22s arrive Thursday

The Mission Over Malmstrom Open House is this weekend in Great Falls.

Some of the performing aerial acts include the Air Force’s F-22 Demonstration Flight Team, the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights Jump Team and the MiG Fury Fighters.

The F-22 Raptors s will be arriving tomorrow morning, July 11, at the 120th Airlift Wing base on Gore Hill.

The team will be performing July 13-14 with a rehearsal on the afternoon of July 12.

The F-22 team will also be doing community outreach on the day of their arrival. They’ll be visiting the children’s ward at Benefis Health System and meeting with the Boy Scouts of America.

The team is a U.S. Air Force flight demonstration team stationed at Langley AFB, Va. The team flies the Air Force’s Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor at airshows around the globe, performing air maneuvers that demonstrate the unique capabilities of the fifth-generation fighter aircraft.

The Open House is one of the few times Malmstrom opens to the public.
