Work to repair South Manchester Road starts Wednesday
Work to repair South Manchester Road begins April 10.
The road will get a new overlay of asphalt to repair damage from last summer’s flooding.
The work is expected to last up to six weeks, weather permitting.
During this time, drivers are asked to be aware of work signs, detours and road closures, according to Cascade County.
The section of road that will be impacted is from the intersection of McIver Road and South Manchester Road, north to the intersection of South Manchester Road and Vaughn South Frontage Road.
Funding for the project is coming in part from state funding and the two special emergency disaster mills the county levied this year. The state funding required a two mill local match, which is about $132,000, according to county officials.
That funding and the project were included in the current county budget.
