County roads are drifting shut; Commission issues travel advisory for rural areas
The Cascade County Commissioners have issued a travel advisory for the rural portions of the county effective immediately.
High wind conditions are creating difficult conditions for county plowing efforts with roads drifting back in shortly after being plowed open, according to a county release.
“Given these conditions we advise citizens to limit their travel as much as possible outside of the city and to be aware that their ability to return home might be impaired,” according to the county release.
The plow crews are continuing to work throughout the county, but currently, the Cascade-Simms road is drifted shut and South Eden, West Eden and Ross roads are experiencing rapid drifting as well, according to the release.
Caution due to drifting is advised on all rural county roads.
