On Feb. 12, the Cascade County Public Works Department closed a section of Sheep Creek Road outside of Cascade.

Barricades have been placed at the cattle guard and fishing access about a quarter of a mile south of 719 Sheep Creek Road.

An ice jam on the Missouri River has caused the water and ice to come over the road just south of the dike at the irrigation canal, according to the county.

At this time it is unknown on low long the road will remain closed.
