Larry the Cable Guy, Tracy Byrd to play Montana State Fair

Larry the Cable Guy will take the stage Aug. 2 during the Montana State Fair.

Tracy Byrd will be the main event on July 29.

This year’s fair is , July 26-Aug. 3.

He has a comedy special with Jeff Foxworthy, which is currently available on Netflix. Larry launched his own comedy channel “Jeff and Larry’s Comedy Roundup” on SIRIUSXM. The channel is a partnership with SIRIUSXM and Jeff Foxworthy.

Byrd became a household name in county in 1993 when his third single, called “Holdin’ Heaven,” off of his MCA Records, self-titled debut album, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Charts. The album also included the remake hit of Johnny Paycheck’s “Someone to Give my Love to.” The debut album went on to be certified Gold for selling more than 500,000 copies.

Larry starred in the movie Jingle All The Way 2 for FOX Home Entertainment. Other recent film credits include A Madea Christmas. Tooth Fairy 2 (2012), Witless Protection (2008), Delta Farce (2007) and his first feature Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector (2006).

Larry is the voice of Mater in the Golden Globe winning animated feature film Cars (2006) and Cars 2 (2011) from Disney/Pixar. Larry returned as the voice of Mater for Cars 3, which came out in theaters last year.

Byrd’s second project, “No Ordinary Man,” kept building on the momentum the first album created, the first radio single from it called “Lifestyle’s of the Not so Rich and Famous” reached No. 4, followed by another top five hit, “The First Step,” then with the release of the smash, chart topping hit “Watermelon Crawl” the second album crossed the half million sales mark and certified Gold. The release of the fourth and last single on this project moved Byrd to the top of both the Billboard album and singles charts. The song was “The Keeper of the Star’s” and it shot to No. 1 on the singles charts and pushed the album to Double Platinum Status, which certifies sales of over two million copies. It was the 1995 Academy of County Music song of the year.

Larry hosted Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy on History for three seasons. The show premiered in 2011 and in each episode, Larry visited various sites across the country revealing bits of real history while immersing himself in new and different lifestyles, jobs and hobbies that celebrate the American experience.

In early 2012 Them Idiots Whirled Tour starring Larry, Foxworthy and Bill Engvall aired on CMT.
