Business Bites: The Block now open; The Barn renovating; Vietnamese restaurant coming
The Block Bar and Grill opened today and will celebrate their grand opening on Feb. 8 with Happy Hour all day. That includes $1 off all draft beer, $4 off domestic pitchers, buy one sandwich and get $2 off the second, free dip with any chip order.
The Block is next door to Enbar and was created by the same partnership that created the craft cocktail bar. That team includes Mike Hallahan, Scott Reasoner, Andy Ferrin, Tianna Ford, Tim Peterson and Tom Jacobson.
The Block is located at 4 5th St. S. and is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
Sandwiches will feature an exclusive sourdough from Blue Truck Bread and 24 beers on tap.
The Barn Vintage Treasures is closed through Feb. 28 for a major renovation.
A grand reopening is scheduled for March 1-2 with entirely different inventory.
You can follow along with the renovation and see photos here.
