The city is seeking applicants for several boards and commissions.

Park and Recreation Board

The City Commission is accepting applications to serve on the Park and Recreation Board. There are currently three openings for three-year terms beginning Jan. 1 and expiring Dec. 31, 2021.

The board consists of seven members. The Board advises the City Commission and the city manager on all matters related to the Park and Recreation programs in the city. Meetings are held at 3 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.

Advisory Commission on International Relationships

The City Commission is seeking applications for citizens to serve on the Advisory Commission on International Relationships. There is one opening for a partial term through March 31, 2019 on the commission.

The commission consists of nine to eleven members and provides support, coordination and exchange of information for international programs in the community. The last meeting for 2018 is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Rainbow Room of the Civic Center. For more information contact Krista Artis at 455-8450.
