The city has a contract with Central Excavation to complete water main improvements on the corner of 8th Avenue South and 23rd Street.

The contractor will be working in the area from Oct. 26 to Nov. 9.

During construction, 8th Avenue South will be closed from 22nd Street to 23rd Street.

Local access will be provided during construction and the contractor will provide barricades and detour signs.

Utility work associated with the University of Providence University Center requires an approximate 2-week closure of 20th Street South between 13th and 14th Avenues South beginning Oct. 29. Local access to residences will be maintained.
