Positions available on city advisory boards

The city is seeking applicants for vacancies on several advisory boards.

PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD

The City Commission is seeking applications for the Great Falls Planning Advisory Board for one member to fill a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2021. Applicants must reside within the City limits.

The nine-member board advises the commission on many aspects of Great Falls area growth and development including amendments to the growth plan, zoning, land subdivision, annexation, transportation planning, planning roadway improvements and related general planning issues.

The board meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 3 p.m. For more information contact Craig Raymond at 455-8530. Application deadline is 5 p.m. Nov. 1.

PARKING ADVISORY COMMISSION

The City Commission is seeking applications for the Parking Advisory Commission.  The appointment will be for the remainder of a three year term through April 30, 2019.

The commission includes five members appointed by the City Commission and an ex-officio member appointed by the Business Improvement District. Experience or interest in the Great Falls Central Business District is helpful but not necessary. The PAC advises the commission, city manager, and planning and community development staff on matters related to parking issues within the downtown parking district. ADVISORY COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The City Commission is seeking applications for citizens to serve on the Advisory Commission on International Relationships. Currently there is one opening for a partial term through March 31, 2019.

The commission consists of nine to eleven members and it provides support, coordination and exchange of information for international programs in the community. Meetings for 2018 are scheduled for October 23 and December 11 at 7 p.m. in the Rainbow Room of the Civic Center. For more information contact Krista Artis at 455-8450.
