AAUW accepting donations for annual book sale

The Great Falls Branch of the American Association of University Women is hosting their annual book sale at the library in October.

They’re accepting books for the sale on Tuesday’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the back door of the library.

Donations of books, games, puzzles, DVDs and CDs in good condition are accepted. No textbooks,magazines, encyclopedias or videotapes accepted. Materials should be in not too heavy boxes or bags

The pre-sale day is Oct. 17 from noon to 7 p.m. on the third floor of the library for a $2 change at checkout and $2 per book.

The regular sale days are Oct. 18 noon to 7 p.m.; Oct. 19 noon to 5 p.m.; Oct. 20 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Oct. 21 1-4 p.m.

Their auction ends Oct. 20.

Half-price sale days begin Oct. 24 from noon to 7 p.m.; Oct. 25 noon to 7 p.m.; and Oct. 26 from noon to 5 p.m.

The sack sale is Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 28 from 1-4 p.m.

The Great Falls branch of AAUW was established in 1914 and since 1959, the book sale has provided funds to support local AAUW projects, including college scholarships for women and library donations.
