County to consider $133,600 contract for health department remodel

Next week, County Commissioners will consider a $133,600 contract to Detailed Construction Company of Stockett for a remodel at the Cascade City-County Health Department.
The Community Health Care Center moved their dental clinic out of the building and now the space is being remodeled into four medical exam rooms, a blood draw area and medication dispensing area.

The county had previously awarded a contract to CTA for architectural services on the project and received one bid for construction.
Brian Clifton, county public works director, said that staff reviewed the bid and it was close to project estimates and met all of the county’s needs. Clifton said the company had also done work with Great Falls Public Schools and The History Museum in downtown.
Clifton said the lack of bids is due to the busy construction season and small size of the project.
The commission meets Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the courthouse annex.
