Detours starting on Fox Farm Road for road reconstruction work
The reconstruction of Fox Farm Road from East Fiesta to Dick Road is underway.
United Materials began work on June 4 and the roughly $3.5 million project is expected to last through Oct. 1.
Beginning June 13, southbound traffic on Fox Farm Road will be detoured at 45th Avenue South to Flood Road and back to Fox Farm via Dick Road and a temporary gravel road, according to a release from United Materials.
Northbound traffic on Fox Farm Road will be detoured to Flood Road via Dick Road with the use of a temporary gravel road. Eastbound and westbound traffic at the intersection of Fox Farm Road and Dick Road will be controlled by stop signs and local access for residents will be maintained, according to United Materials.
For more information, call United Materials at 435-7692. A written log of calls will be maintained.
The Fox Farm reconstruction was included in the Great Falls Area Long Range Transportation Plan.
Cascade County recently completed improvements to Fox Farm Road, as well as Dune, Fawn, Hawk and Highwood Drives and Dick Road.
The Montana Department of Transportation awarded a contract over the winter for the improvements on Fox Farm Drive from Dick Road back into the city limits. That is an urban transportation project, so MDT runs the project then hands it back to the county for maintenance, according to county public works.
