River’s Edge Trail Luminaria Walk is June 16

The 2018 Luminaria Walk is June 16 from 7-11 p.m.
The walk began in 1993 with 200 luminarias lighting the trail near the caboose as the first annual Luminaria Walk sponsored by the River’s Edge Trail.
This year, more than 1,000 luminarias have been decorated/colored by students from schools in Great Falls and will line the trail.
Students from Meadowlark School colored their luminaria bags last week and their bags included rainbows and summer sunshine.
The Luminaria Walk is organized by the board of directors for the River’s Edge Trail Foundation and the community is encouraged to walk the trail beginning at the Gibson Park bandshell or West Bank Park.
“Just enjoy this summer evening and the generous musicians that are giving their talent and time, as we already have a great lineup of music scattered throughout the trail,” said Becky Nelson, RET board member.
Musicians and concessions are still needed. If you want to help, call Nelson at 899-8642 for more information about the volunteer opportunities.
