Great Falls Police investigating homicide

The Great Falls Police Department is currently investigating the homicide of a 45-year-old male.

The incident occurred early this morning in the 300 block of 16th Street South.

Around 3:45 a.m. Friday, a motorist unrelated to the incident called 911 to report a body in the middle of 16th Street South.

As GFPD officers were responding to the scene two individuals retrieved the male victim and transported him to Benefis Emergency Department, where he was pronounced deceased, according to GFPD

Investigators and patrol officers will be at the scene for several hours piecing together elements of the crime, according to GFPD.

Through investigation, GFPD has learned the incident is likely the result of a long-standing feud.

Police have detained two males for questioning and have identified two suspects.

The suspects are not in custody, but in a release GFPD Sgt. Jim Wells said they do not believe there is any further threat to the public as this appears to be an isolated incident.

On Monday, Sheriff Bob Edwards identified the victim as Lloyd Geaudry, 45, of Great Falls.
