Business Improvement District hiring second community resource ambassador

Love Great Falls and want to share information about the city while working in the downtown?

The Great Falls Business Improvement District is hiring a second, seasonal community resource ambassador.

The person hired will interact directly with residents, business members and visitors. The ambassador is responsible for helping to improve the perception and wellbeing of Downtown Great Falls, ensuring that the image is a positive one, according to the BID job description.

The BID had a community ambassador, who is largely responsible for watering the flowers downtown and is not often visible since he waters around 4 a.m., according to Joan Redeen, BID community director.

The resource ambassadors work from May 1 to Oct. 31, dependent on the weather and the dates are subject to change.

Last summer, the BID started the resource ambassador program with one part timer.

This summer, they’re adding the second position, as well as a bike with a kiosk attached to the back for informational brochures, maps, etc.

Redeen said the CMR High School welding shop is making the kiosk and they’re hoping to have it ready for the summer.

The pay is $10 per hour and the position is funded by the BID, which is funded by an assessment on property owners within the district.
