Two neighborhood councils meet this week

Two Great Falls neighborhood councils meet next week.

Neighborhood Council 2 meets at 6 p.m. April 8 in the West Elementary School library, 1205 1st Ave. N.W.

Agenda items include a presentation from NeighborWorks Great Falls, a Facebook page update, Neighborhood Watch and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 9 meets at 7 p.m. April 9 at 1st Church of the Nazarene, 1727 2nd Ave. S.

Agenda items include a presentation from NeighborWorks Great Falls, a Montana Tobacco Use Prevention presentation from the City-County Health Department, Facebook page update, Neighborhood Watch, crime mapping report and neighborhood concerns.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
