Calumet planning maintenance activities on March 11, with alarm tests
Calumet is conducting planned maintenance activities throughout the facility, including routine alarm testing, scheduled equipment upgrades and asset inspections supported by specialized contractors.
These inspections are a key part of Calumet’s ongoing efforts to proactively maintain equipment integrity and support safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations, according to company release.
During this period, neighbors may observe increased flaring and elevated noise levels.

As part of this maintenance, Calumet will test its emergency notification system on March 11, at noon and 7:30 p.m.
Residents and businesses in the surrounding area may hear audible alarms at these times.
These alarms are part of a scheduled test only.
No public action is required.

“These tests and maintenance activities are essential to maintaining our safety and environmental performance,” Mariah Mandt, general manager, said in a release. “Routine inspections and upgrades help us sustain reliable operations, enhance environmental compliance, and limit unplanned events. We appreciate our neighbors’ understanding as we complete this important work.”
Calumet said its ongoing maintenance investments have contributed to a significant reduction in flaring compared to last summer.
