Great Falls neighborhood councils Feb. 16-19

Two neighborhood councils meet in Great Falls Feb. 16-19.

Neighborhood Council 5 meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center conference room, 3000 15th Ave. S.

Agenda items include a presentation from NeighborWorks Great Falls about classes and services offered, discussion of changing the council meeting dates from the third Mondays of the month by Tom Kotynski; council business and updates and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 8 meets at 6 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Great Falls Pre-Release Center Women’s Center.

Agenda items include council officer elections; a review of new tax bills with Montana Rep. Jane Weber; and bylaw review.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
