GFFR responds to house fire
Great Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 2515 7th Ave. N. just before 11 a.m. June 5.
GFFR requested mutual aid from the Montana Air National Guard and Malmstrom Air Force Base fire departments to backfill Stations 3 and 4, and called back a GFFR engine company.
GFFR conducting training with soon to be demolished structures; working to get new training center
Two people reside at the home. One was present at the time of the fire and safely exited the home through a basement window.
The second resident wasn’t home at the time, according to GFFR, and no injuries were reported.
City Commission votes 4-1 to apply for $2.5 million loan to fund GFFR training center
The residents own two dogs, one perished in the fire and the other is unaccounted for, according to GFFR.
The fire caused significant damage and the home is uninhabitable.
The American Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the residents.
GFFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
