City Commission to consider agreement for additional audit services for CDBG complaints
During the Dec. 19 City Commission meeting, commissioners will consider an addendum to the existing audit services from Anderson ZurMuehlen and Co.
The contract agreement ranges from $7,5000 to $10,000 for special emphasis audit services on the city’s Community Development Block Grant program and the funds used by NeighborWorks Great Falls from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2016.

The company will issue a written report of the findings.
The agreement comes after the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development denied CDBG funding for Paris Gibson Square due to allegations of conflicts of interest related to Commissioner Tracy Houck, who is also the PGS executive director.
City retains independent accountant for CDBG review
HUD also directed the city to review NWGF funding for that time period due to citizen complaints related to Commissioner Bill Bronson since his wife works for the agency.

In late November, the city received another letter from HUD regarding additional complaints that have been made to the Denver regional office concerning other issues in this year’s CDBG grant process and some from 2012.
Anderson ZurMuehlen is currently under contract to conduct annual audits for the city.
