Albert Denny appeared in court on Sept. 24 for his defense attorney to change to his bail.
In that particular case, he’s facing a felony count of burglary, and misdemeanor counts of theft and obstructing a peace officer in an Aug. 21 crash and pursuit.
His bail that case was set at $5,000 but was consecutive to a $25,000 bond in another case.
“Realistically, he’s not going anywhere,” Emily Weithman, his defense attorney, said since he couldn’t afford to bond out in the other case.
The Cascade County Attorney’s Office asked Judge Dave Grubich to raise the bail in this case to $50,000 since he was involved in a police chase, even though he wasn’t the driver, and then broke into someone’s trailer, consuming alcohol, marijuana and food after officers attempted to serve a warrant on him for charges of assaulting and threatening his girlfriend and his probation officer.

Grubich said he was concerned as threatening his probation officer was “not good” and that “when someone comes home and finds someone making themselves at home, bad things can happen.”
Causing a high speed police pursuit was also concerning Grubich said, as those pose a danger to the community.
Grubich increased Denny’s bail in this case to $25,000 consecutive to his other case and included GPS monitoring as a condition of release.
Rodney Gladue was also charged in the incident with two felony counts of criminal endangerment and misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, speeding, driving while suspended/revoked, fleeing from or eluding a peace officer and a stop sign violation.
Man charged in weekend car chase
At 12:30 p.m. Aug. 21, Great Falls Police officers were assisting the U.S, Marshal Service and Adult Probation and Patrol to apprehend Denny on an outstanding warrant at 2210 9th St. S., according to court documents.
The GFPD officers were in their vehicle and saw Denny riding in a vehicle that was exiting the address and then fled from the Marshals, GFPD and Cascade County deputies south on 8th Street South toward 17th Street South.
The fleeing vehicle,a 1998 tan Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Gladue, did not comply with officers’ attempts to stop it with overhead lights, nad drove down 8th Street South at about 65 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, according to court documents.
As the Jeep approached the intersection with 17th Avenue South, Gladue ran a stop sign, causing a collision with a 2016 silver GMC Yukon, which had two occupants who were transported to Benefis to be seen for injuries.

After the collision, Albert fled from the crash site, with a GFPD officer pursuing northwest toward 9th Street South based on information from deputies since he didn’t have a visual.
Officers lost sight of Denny near a a trailer park in the area of 1510 9th St. S., and a resident provided security footage showing Denny running through the area and west toward 1321 7th St. S., according to court documents.
The GFPD officer alerted other law enforcement to Denny’s updated clothing description and at 2:53 p.m., a resident called 911 to report a man matching Denny’s description was hiding inside his apartment, according to court documents.
Denny was detained by bystanders and probation units.
When officers arrived, the spoke to the 911 caller who said Denny had been hiding in his apartment and drank a dozen blueberry flavored County Time Lemonades, a cost of about $6, according to court documents, and a GFPD officer noted that Denny had “an extremely stained blue tongue.”
“It was also reported that various other items in the house were missing (weed and food), and it is believed that Albert consumed this to satiate his cravings after fleeing from law enforcement,” according to court documents.
During his initial appearance on Aug. 25, the court set his bond at $5,000, consecutive to his other cases.
Prosecutors asked that Gladue’s bond be set at $75,000 as he is currently on probation and has several prior felony convictions.
Suspect charged for stolen vehicle, pursuit, crash
In July, Denny was charged with a felony count of solicitation of assault on a peace officer, for Facebook messages he sent to a woman that included “I’m saying, we should just pull up on him masked up and hit em with some bear mace and skrt off…Or something Imao,” in reference to his probation officer.
At the time, he was on supervision for his assault with a weapon conviction from 2024, a case in which he threatened his ex-girlfriend, and Denny has a prior conviction for felony possession of dangerous drugs from 2020.
