Waterfowl release, Easter Egg hunt, Ice Breaker race coming up with Great Falls Park and Recreation

The annual waterfowl release at Gibson Pond is 10:30 a.m. April 3.

Great Falls Park and Recreation staff takes care of the waterfowl over the winter at the Honker Hilton, their
indoor location at the north end of Gibson Park, where they have an indoor pond and are fed daily.

Park and Rec staff also feed the birds daily once they’re released into Gibson Pond.

Great Falls Public Library staff will host craft activities, make your own duck snack and story time at 9 a.m.

The annual Great Falls Park and Recreation Easter egg hunt is April 4 at 10 a.m.

This year’s hunt will be in a new location at Lions Park at 2701 10th Ave. S.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early as the hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m.

About 10,000 eggs will be hidden across various age-groups areas and participants should bring their own baskets.

The event includes craft activities with the Great Falls Public Library, registration opportunities for raffle prizes and thank you card creations for the event sponsors.

Debbie and Jim Filipowicz sponsored the hunt again this year and “without them, this annual tradition would not be possible,” according to Park and Rec.
