Great Falls neighborhood council meetings Jan. 12-15

Three neighborhood councils meet Jan. 12-15.

Neighborhood Council 7 meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 in the Gibson Room upstairs at the Civic Center.

Agenda items include election of council officers, bylaw review and updates, Neighborhood Watch, committee reports and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 1 has a work session at 6 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Meadowlark Elementary School library.

Agenda items include council meet and greet, ideas for community engagement, changing meeting location

The work session is followed by the regular meeting at 7 p.m.

The agenda includes discussion of a stop light at Park Garden/Fox Farm Road, speeding/stop sign violations, lack of usage of the Meadowlark school crossing, trailer/camper/disabled vehicles parked on streets, using city parkland for advertising vehicle sales, and using utility poles and city property for commercial advertising, election of council officers and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 2 meets at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the West Elementary School library.

Agenda items include election of council officers, review bylaws, Facebook page update, Neighborhood Watch and neighborhood concerns.

Monthly agendas are posted on the Neighborhood Council meeting calendar at least 48 hours prior the scheduled meeting.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
