Great Falls Police Department said today that dispatchers received a report at 8:36 p.m. Aug. 6 that someone had seen a person jump off the Warden Bridge, which is the 10th Avenue South bridge.
Dispatchers sent emergency personnel from the Great Falls Police Department, Great Falls Fire Rescue, Cascade County Sheriff’s Office and Great Falls Emergency Services.
Responders arrived within three minutes and located a 24-year-old male on the ground under the bridge near River Drive South, according to GFPD.
The male was transported to the emergency department at Benefis Health System, where he later died, according to GFPD.
“We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the male, we hope the community will do the same,” GFPD said in a statement.
GFPD is not releasing the name of the deceased, “as is customary,” and Sheriff Jesse Slaughter will do that “if and when he deems it appropriate to do so.”
GFPD said it has no further information to release.
